Hi,
I was wondering if the zone email list is like the message boards? I mean, is it a list where everybody post to, or is it an announcement only list where only admins and community leaders can post, and who's on it? Just thought I'd ask, because I'm pretty much staying away from heavy trafic mailing lists, and while I'm at it, is the live journal community sort of along the same lines as the boards?

Hi WW, The LJ community has lots of members, and it's not really liek the boards cuz people just post every once and awhile and stuff ... as for the mailing list, it seems fairly low traffic, and I think everyone can join who wants to and everyone can post, not sure though. I think it'd be cool if we could start a discussion list that's like the boards. And people who didn't want high traffic could just get a digest.
Yes that would be nice. I've never been on digest mode on a list, since I mostly just delete the ones I don't care to read. I've noticed most lj communities are hardly active at all, and there don't seem to be lj communities just for general chat.

Hi WW, Yeah I knwo the zone community doesn't have much activity though it has a bit. There must be some active communities somewhere though. I actually don't know if there are though. But there probably are. And I've never been on digest mode on a list either.

I've just subscribed to the zone email list, and just waiting for my confirmation to come, since I don't think you can post until your subscription is confirmed. if it's automatic, I should be getting an email shortly.

It's there, but usually not very active.
I guess that may be because people have the zone bbs news and suggestions board to post in. I was just looking at the archives and the last posts were in early January.
